The mission of the Law Enforcement Academy is to provide students with a quality educational and leadership development program; and an opportunity to explore a potential career option in law enforcement.
This instructional staff is comprised of active-duty and retired law enforcement officers and practitioners who can lend relevance to the academic curriculum by sharing real-world experiences. Students participate in a variety of practical demonstrations and assignments including crime scene investigation, officer safety tactics, interviewing & interrogation, and fingerprinting.
Similar to the Military Academy, the Law Enforcement Academy integrates core principles into classroom instruction, activites, exercises, and competitions- encouraging and supporting the development of students into capable, resourceful, and responsible adults. These core principles are:
1. Discipline, self-respect and confidence
2. Integrity, honor, and personal courage
3. Health, fitness, and wellness
4. Citizen and civic responsibility
5. Academic excellence
