Summit Leadership Academy mourns the loss of Sgt. Grant Ward, Vice Chair of our Governing Board, whose life of service and leadership left a lasting mark on our school and community.

Grant was a devoted public servant and a steady, compassionate leader who guided others with honesty, resilience, and genuine care. Throughout his brave fight with cancer, he continued to inspire those around him with his optimism, strength, and warm sense of humor.

In his role with Summit Leadership Academy, Grant was deeply committed to the success and well-being of our students, families, and staff. He gave selflessly, led thoughtfully, and approached every responsibility with a belief that people—and community—always come first.

Grant passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family. While we grieve his loss, we are grateful for the legacy he leaves behind and the example he set through a life dedicated to service.
