Dear Summit Leadership Academy Family, Students and Friends:

I trust that this message finds everyone well and that we are all eager to return to some semblance of normalcy amidst the COVID-19 crisis.  On behalf of the Summit Leadership Academy – High Desert Board of Directors, teachers, support staff, and administrators, please know that we miss your presence, and we are excited for the time when we will be able to rejoin as a Summit family on both the high school and the jr. high campus. 

However, in keeping with the directives of the State of California, pending additional direction and/or legal guidance, we will begin the new school year utilizing the Distance Learning format.  Although this decision is incredibly difficult, and subject to change, we have decided to proceed with extreme caution.  We understand this decision may cause additional hardships for some families, and we are here to assist in any way possible.

In the near future SLAHD will begin to post additional guidelines, new school safety policies, and directions for the commencement of the new school year.  Please stay tuned to our school website for updated announcements and directions.      

As we proceed through the coming months, I encourage all families to continue practicing social distancing protocol and to carefully monitor their health.  With the help from our entire Summit family, we will ensure a safe, healthy school environment rooted in academic excellence for all.
