The mission of the FIRE Academy is to provide students with a quality education and leadership development program; and an opportunity to explore potential career options in fire and emergency medical services.

The instructional staff is comprised of active-duty and retired fire service professionals who support the academic curriculum by sharing real-world experiences. Students participate in a variety of practical demonstrations and assignments designed to expand their knowledge and experience base in the areas of firefighting, fire prevention, and emergency medical services.

The Fire Academy also integrates core principles into classroom instruction, activities, exercises, and competitions - encouraging and supporting the development of students into capable, resourceful, and responsible adults.
